# Robin Points: Boost Staking APY by Referring Friends

> Robin Points are earned by referring friends to stake on Robin Markets. Each point boosts your APY by 1% on $1 of staked value per day.

Robin Points let you earn an additional +1% APY on top of your base staking yield and any other bonuses you're receiving. You earn points through referrals, and they burn automatically while you have an active stake and no manual claiming is required.

## Earning Points

You earn points by referring friends to Robin Markets. For every \$1 a referee has staked, you earn 1 point per day. Points accrue passively for as long as your referee keeps their position open.

**Example:** If someone you referred has \$500 staked, you earn 500 points per day for the entire duration of their stake.

To start earning, open the **points panel** in the app, generate your personal referral code, and share the link. Anyone who deposits using your code is permanently linked to you as a referrer and you keep earning points from their future stakes automatically.

## Burning Points (How Your Boost Is Applied)

Points burn automatically while you're staked. The burn rate is capped at your current staked value, so you only ever burn as many points as you have dollars at work:

Each point effectively boosts \$1 of stake for one day. If your points balance exceeds your staked value, the surplus sits unused until your stake grows to meet it.

  To maximise your points boost, aim to hold at least as many points as you have dollars staked. Grow your points balance by referring more friends, or grow your stake to put your existing points to work faster.

## When Does the Boost Pay Out?

Points yield accrues continuously as you stay staked — you don't need to do anything. When you withdraw, the accrued points yield is bundled into your bonus payout alongside the guarantee top-up and matching bonus, all paid in a single USDC transaction from Robin's wallet.

The payment arrives in your wallet within a few seconds to a few minutes after your withdrawal confirms. You can see the full breakdown in the **Activity** tab of your portfolio.

Very small bonus amounts may be skipped to avoid paying more in gas than the payout is worth.

## Legacy Points

If you participated in a previous Robin beta programme, your points have already been migrated to the current system. Legacy points carry over with a **10× multiplier**, giving early participants a significant head start on their boost balance.

Legacy points burn and pay out in exactly the same way as points earned through the current referral programme.
